Half day trip to Montana De Oro and Morro Bay for Birthday Lunch

Eddie checks out the waves Montana De Oro - Fischer Studios - Wanitoo.com

Yesterday we headed to Los Osos for our first trip to Montana De Oro, a pretty cool hidden destination if you haven't been there. There are trails everywhere, tide pools and pretty much nature everything. There was no fee to enter, and I can easily see this becoming a favorite local destination of ours. The kids loved it, and if we didn't have other plans we could have easily made a day of it. Afterwards we headed to Morro Bay and ate lunch at Giovanni's.

*Pictured above Eddie was in awe of the waves, and wanted to get wet, but we had other plans.
