Sometimes you have to make your own fun. We decided to take a regular hiking route and make it a bit more fun by creating a nature scavenger hunt in the Pismo Beach Dunes. I wrote down some items the kids had to find on paper, grabbed a couple of containers with lids, and we headed out.

Scavenger list envelopes. I used these to surprise the kids. They sell kits on amazon if you don't want to make your own.
